Absolutely not. We believe phone or device tracking should always be opt in. And even if you do opt in, you can turn it on and off.
Mia Bazo can only track your phone or tracking device if you have both
- Downloaded one of the apps that can track the location of your phone (Mia Travel, Mia Tax, Mia Immigration or Mia Nucleus, and
- Permitted device tracking.
Your employer could conceivably make phone or device tracking mandatory when you travel. We don’t recommend this approach. We feel strongly that employers and employees should collaborate on the best measures for keeping travellers safe. You can read more about our recommendations in the Travel Security article.
